SummerSwap connects homeowners who want to exchange their homes for travel. You create a profile, list your property with photos and details, browse available homes worldwide, connect with other members, and arrange mutually beneficial swaps. Both parties agree on dates and terms, then enjoy authentic travel experiences in each other's homes.
We offer three plans: Wanderer ($18.88/month) for 2 swaps per year up to 4 weeks each, perfect for occasional travelers. Adventurer ($38.88/month) includes unlimited swaps up to 8 weeks each, priority support, and insurance guidance. Dreamer ($288.88/year) offers unlimited swaps up to 12 weeks each, premium verification, comprehensive travel insurance, and concierge service.
After subscribing to a plan, go to your dashboard and click "List Your Home". Add high-quality photos, write a detailed description of your space and neighborhood, specify available dates and swap preferences, and list amenities and house rules. Our team reviews all listings to ensure quality and authenticity.
Yes! Safety is our top priority. We verify every member's identity through ID checks and phone verification. All properties are verified with proof of ownership or lease agreement. We provide insurance guidance (included in Adventurer) and comprehensive coverage (in Dreamer). Our community reviews and ratings system helps build trust, and we offer 24/7 support for any concerns.
All swaps are covered by insurance guidance or comprehensive coverage depending on your plan. Document your home's condition before and after each swap with photos. Report any damages immediately to our support team. Our insurance partners help facilitate claims. We also maintain a member rating system to encourage responsible behavior.
We verify all members through government-issued ID, phone number verification, and email confirmation. Properties are verified through ownership documentation or lease agreements, photo verification of listed amenities, and neighborhood confirmation. Adventurer members get priority verification, while Dreamer members receive premium verification with enhanced scrutiny.
Swap durations vary by plan: Wanderer allows up to 4 weeks per swap, Adventurer up to 8 weeks, and Dreamer up to 12 weeks. You can arrange multiple swaps throughout the year based on your subscription. Many members start with weekend or week-long swaps to build trust before longer exchanges.
Yes! Wanderer members can make 2 swaps per year. Adventurer and Dreamer members enjoy unlimited swaps. You can coordinate with different members worldwide based on mutual availability and preferences. Many active members complete 6-12 swaps annually.
Swaps don't have to be simultaneous! You can arrange non-reciprocal timing where you stay in their home during different dates than they stay in yours. Our platform helps coordinate these arrangements. Some members build "swap credits" by hosting first, then traveling later.
Our network spans the globe! Popular destinations include major cities like Paris, London, New York, and Tokyo, as well as beach destinations in Bali, Hawaii, and the Mediterranean. We also have mountain retreats in Colorado, Swiss Alps, and New Zealand, plus countryside homes across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. New destinations are added daily as our community grows.
No hidden fees! Your subscription covers all platform features. You're only responsible for your own travel costs (flights, transportation) and utilities during your swap (electricity, water, etc.). Some members arrange direct utility cost sharing. There are no booking fees, no transaction fees, and no commission on swaps.
Yes, you can cancel anytime. We offer a 30-day money-back on all plans if you're not satisfied. After 30 days, you can cancel but won't receive refunds for partial months. Annual Dreamer subscriptions can be cancelled but aren't prorated. You can still complete any confirmed swaps after cancellation if they fall within your paid period.
We provide a full refund within the first 30 days if you're not satisfied, no questions asked. After 30 days, refunds are not available for partial months or unused portions of annual subscriptions. However, if you experience issues with verified properties or member fraud, contact our support team to discuss your specific situation.
All members get email support Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 8 PM EST with response within 24 hours. Adventurer members receive priority support with faster response times. Dreamer members get 24/7 premium support via phone, email, and chat, plus a dedicated concierge service to help coordinate complex travel arrangements and resolve any issues immediately.

For emergencies, we provide emergency contact numbers to both swap parties. We can help mediate disputes, coordinate with insurance, and find alternative accommodations if needed.
